Overview

3 Days Sossusvlei Safari Namibia Camping. This is a short break to the famous Sossusvlei Dunes area of Namibia to experience the wide-open spaces of the Namib desert and dunes in this beautiful African country. For amazing things to do during your visit to Namibia, experience a journey to one of the oldest deserts in the world the mighty Namib Desert.
This 3 day tour leaves from Windhoek and travels to Sossusvlie accommodated safari. All meals will be prepared by our tour-guide as included in the Itinerary and we will provide all camping equipment including tents, pillows, sleeping bags and all utensils.

Sossusvlei is Located in the scenic Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei is where you will find the iconic red sand dunes of the Namib. The clear blue skies contrast with the giant red dunes to make this one of the most scenic natural wonders of Africa and a photographer’s heaven. This awe-inspiring destination is possibly Namibia’s premier attraction, with its unique dunes rising to almost 400 metres-some of the highest in the world. These iconic dunes come alive in morning and evening light and draw photography enthusiasts from around the globe. Sossusvlei is home to a variety desert wildlife including oryx, springbok, ostrich and a variety of reptiles. Visitors can climb ‘Big Daddy’, one of Sossusvlei’s tallest dunes; explore Deadvlei, a white, salt, claypan dotted with ancient trees; or for the more extravagant, scenic flights and hot air ballooning are on offer, followed by a once-in-a-lifetime champagne breakfast amidst these majestic dunes

Itinerary

Windhoek to Sossusvlei(333.km)

Accommodation: Namib Desert Campsite or Similar Campsite

Guest will be picked up at their accommodation in Windhoek or at the airport and depart to Sossusvlei area. Along the way clients will stop at Rehoboth where the guide will buy camping food for 45minutes and this is an opportunity for guest to get some snacks and drinks for the road.

Guest will have the opportunity to buy lunch at a shopping mall where the guide will pullover by a big tree and serve lunch at around 12h00-13h00. After arrival guest will have leisure time before going on a Sundowner drive to Elim dune around 17h30 or 18h00.

Meals: Dinner

Included Activity: Sundowner at Elim Dune.

Accommodation: Namib Desert Campsite or Similar Campsite

Guest will grab breakfast in the morning and drive to Dunes for their Activity (Sossuvlei Excursion )which includes Dune 45, Deadvlei, Hiddenvlei, and Big Daddy. The tour guide will have regular stops to let clients take pictures and have some exposure of the Dunes. Guest will be back around lunch time and will have some leisure time for themselves at the pool or at the Bar.

At 18h00 the guide will prepare a delicious dinner for the Guest and then set up a campfire were guest will have the opportunity to talk about their experience and have some stargazing .

Guest will getupat around 08h00 and have breakfast ready for them. After Breakfast they will pack up and depart back to the Capital city of Namibia (Windhoek) whereby thearrival time will be estimated at 14h30.

Overnight Accommodation: Namib Desert Campsite Gondwana Collection Namibia

These campsites are located under acacia trees on the bank of a dry riverbed and offer beautiful views of the ‘fossilized’ dunes of the primeval Namib. They are equipped with electricity, water, grill area and windbreak and share several communal bathroom facilities. Just a few minutes’ drive from the road to Sesriem, this camping site is ideally suited for nature lovers who want to experience Sossusvlei and at the same time love the silent starlit nights of the Namib Desert.
