SAN TRIBE CULTURAL TOUR- NAMIBIA
In this 2-2.5 hours you will visit the ancient San tribe and do the activities they do such as tracking in the veldt (bush), fire making traditional San fire sticks, craft making and hunting in the traditional San way.
Clients will be picked up in the morning to go on a safari to learn ancient San skills . This Half day safari will leave clients with knowledgeable information of the San people and how they survive through their daily techniques.
This Activity is Child Friendly and can be booked by a Family.
What to Expect
This Half Day San Culture Day Safari takes you to a lodge which is N/a’ankuse lodge .Clients are pick up from their accommodation at around 08:30 AM and we drive from Windhoek to N/a’ankuse lodge where clients will visit the San tribe village and clients get to know how they live their lives . This tour starts at 10 am and clients are taught how to make a fire or do different crafts objects, they are
also shown how they dance the San Dance. As soon as clients are done with the safari the guide drives the clients back to Windhoek by 13h30.
The vehicle will be a Sedan or Double cab 4×4 or other depending on the number of clients. Clients can do a lot of activities at this lodge such as Bush walk and game drive.The San people are the first people of Africa. This means the San are descendants of the first people who ever lived here, before black or white people migrated into the African region.
Archaeologists and geneticists agree, that the San are the descendants of the original Homo sapiens groupings, who occupied Southern Africa, for at least 150 000 years. Traditionally, the San are hunter- gatherers, which in today’s fast-moving world has resulted in some of the difficulties they regularly
experience.
