This 6 day Gorilla trekking will allow you to see gorillas and chimpanzee at the Impenetrable forest of Bwindi and also a UNESCO heritage site for gorilla trekking, Queen Elizabeth national park for both wildlife viewing and chimpanzee trekking, you will also enjoy scenery viewing as you travel.

Itinerary

Day 1: Entebbe to Entebbe (123.0 km)

 

Accommodation: Airport Guest House, Entebbe / Similar

Guest will be transferred to the hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, you will check-in at your lodge and relax for the evening as you prepare for a transfer the next day. In case your arrival time is early enough, you can opt for a city walk around Entebbe or Kampala Capital City.

Meals: Lunch and Dinner (drinks not included)

Overnight: Airport Guest House

Only 5 minutes from Entebbe International Airport, this guesthouse is set in a quiet neighbourhood in beautiful gardens. They offer a pick from the airport, so just let them know when you will arrive, and their driver will pick you. They can also take you to the airport for your flight out. Entebbe offers various activities to spend a nice and calm day, the staff can help you organise some nice activities. In the evening they transform their garden into an open-air restaurant: an intimate dinner under the star-lit African sky.


Day 2: Entebbe to Bwindi National Park

 

Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest / Similar

Guest will be picked up in Kigali and drive to Bwindi National Park. The drive to Uganda will go through Rwanda’s northern town of Ruhengeri his drive will take you approx 4-5 hours. Guest will then cross over into Uganda via Cyanika or Katuna border post. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is in southwestern Uganda, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is said to be Africa’s oldest rainforest. It is world-renowned for its excellent gorilla-sighting opportunities. The rugged landscape features dense jungle, cascading waterfalls, sparkling mountain streams, deep valleys and steep ridges. Upon arrival guest will go on hiking

Day 3: Bwindi National Park

 

Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Camp, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest / Similar

Guest will have a nice breakfast and will head to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the presentation that covers the basics of what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

Guest will have breakfast drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is one of the most popular parks in Uganda, the Queen Elizabeth National Park lies in the western region of the country. In the northern part of the park, visitors can look forward to boating along the Kasinga Channel, which is home to the largest population of hippos in the world and an abundance of Nile crocodiles.

Day 5: Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park

 

Accommodation: The Bush Lodge (Queen Elizabeth National Park), Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park / Similar

This morning guest will wake up early. A little before sunrise coffee, tea and donuts will be served in the lounge before we head out for a long game drive in time to see the first rays of light. You will search for all the wildlife in the park and are likely to come across Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Waterbuck, Leopard, Uganda Kob, and many Warthogs.

A well-deserved brunch will be served back at the lodge in the late morning.

In the afternoon you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake George and Lake Edward.

Here, you will see a lot of hippos (more than you can possibly imagine, as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe.

Overnight: The Bush Lodge (Queen Elizabeth National Park)

The Bush Lodge (Queen Elizabeth National Park) forms an excellent base for safari activities in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The lodge is located just off the main road of Kasese near the small town of Katunguru.

The accommodations consist of 10 non-self-contained tents, 2 self-contained tents, and 12 self-contained bandas. The non-self-contained tents are furnished with comfortable beds, a power outlet, a private terrace, and a communal ablution block. The bandas are spaciously placed between the indigenous bush and are equipped with huge mosquito-netted windows and an eco-toilet. Each of these units provides a private terrace with an outdoor shower.

A large dining tent is offered as the on-site restaurant. Guests can enjoy numerous activities in the surroundings including wildlife research tours, game drives, and chimpanzee trekking.


Day 6: Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kigali

 

This is the last day of your tour. Guest will have breakfast and drive from Kisoro/Bwindi to Kigali.
