Itinerary
Day 1: Mfuwe Airport to South Luangwa National Park (39.3 km)

Guest will be picked up at Mfuwe airport by a driver from Mfuwe Lodge and drive for 25 minutes through the local village, over the Luangwa Bridge and into the park. You will see wildlife as soon as you near the bridge so be sure to keep your binoculars handy! Mfuwe is a charming and unique lodge situated in the South Luangwa National Park. the northern and southern Luangwa National Parks contain some of the most breath-taking and untouched wilderness in Africa. As a result of this and the parks’ successful anti-poaching campaigns, the area has developed into a world-renowned wildlife haven. The South Luangwa National Park is renowned for its walking safari, which allows visitors to view elephant, hippo and even lion close-up under the supervision of professional and knowledgeable armed guides.

Day 2: South Luangwa National Park

This Morning Guest will have breakfast and go on a Game drive and will be back before lunch and in the afternoon go on a walk. Wildlife includes hippo, crocodile and over 400 species of birds, elephant and large herds of buffalo. Thornicroft’s giraffe and Cookson’s wildebeest can be spotted plus healthy populations of wild dog. The Treehouse has three main decks which are around eight feet off the ground with wooden stairways to reach the spacious sitting area and open-plan bedrooms. Each bedroom has open-air en suite bathroom facilities. Guests at the treehouse are provided with a hand-held radio, as the secluded nature of the house means that a vehicle is needed to transport you up and down from the main camp. Four adults sharing the Treehouse are guaranteed a private vehicle and safari guide

It is through this that the great meandering Luangwa river runs, with its ox bow lagoons, riverine supported woodlands and large plains, all of which play host to huge concentrations of game including elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe, hippo and over 450 species of birds.
Luangwa River Camp sits nestled under an ancient ebony grove on the banks of the Luangwa River overlooking the game rich area known as the Luangwa Wafwa.
This small and intimate camp with just five bush suites, along with its setting and location creates a real “wow” factor and a romantic feeling simply flows through the camp.
Day 3: South Luangwa National Park

Day 5: Mfuwe to Lower Zambezi

Guest will freshen up this morning and be Leaving to South Luangwa, you’ll take a domestic flight from Mfuwe to Jeki via Lusaka, followed by a private transfer to Lower Zambezi National Park. You’ll stay at the five-star Potato Bush Camp, a luxury safari property comprised of just three spacious tents, complete with private plunge pools. After sunset, take a night game drive to see nocturnal wildlife such as African wildcats, genets, civets, honey badgers, porcupines and maybe even the rare pangolin.

Day 6: Lower Zambezi

You might even see elephants splashing in the waters or crossing the river to Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools on the other side. Day 8: Lower Zamia to Mfuwe Airport
This is the last day of tour and the guest will just have breakfast and be transferred back to Mfuwe airport at a time to be confirmed. You could arrange to visit Tribal Textiles and other shops on the way to the airport, to pick up a few locally made gifts and memorabilia.
