Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park (308.0 km)

Accommodation: Nyinabulitwa Country Resort & Safari Camp, Kibale Forest National Park / Similar
Guest will be picked up at their accommodation or Airport and drive to From Kampala/Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park Located in southern Uganda, Kibale Forest National Park is said to be home to the highest density of primates in Africa. Although the highlight of the park is the habituated chimpanzees, the treetops are alive with all manner of monkey including red-tailed monkey, L’Hoest’s monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, red colobus and black and white colobus monkeys are all spotted here. we meander westward towards the fabled mountains of the moon, also known as the Rwenzori Mountain, ranges. It’s quite a sight that will most definitely blow your mind. We will journey through Fort portal where we will spend the night.

Nyinabulitwa Country Resort & Safari Camp is situated approximately 20 kilometres outside Fort Portal in the western part of Uganda. The resort borders Kibale Forest National Park, one of the most beautiful tropical forests in the country with stunning bird and insect life and 13 species of primates, including a unique population of more than 1400 chimpanzees. Accommodation at the resort includes luxury cottages and quality camping. The campsite offers modern ablution facilities, solar power installations, as well as barbeque and dining facilities with spectacular views over the crater lake. Activities guests staying at the resort can take part in include boating, fishing, mountain biking, guided hiking trails, and bird and monkey viewing.
Day 2: Kibale Forest National Park Murchison Falls National Park (347.0 km)

Accommodation: Ruboni Community Camp, Rwenzori Mountains / Similar
Guest will wake up early at 6.00am and go on preparations for the hike which begin at Kilembe. Along the steady trek from the valley floor to Raboni camp, we meet a multitude of birds and black & white colobus monkeys swinging in the canopies. With luck, we might see L’Hoest monkeys, which are cultural emblems among the Bakonzo and therefore under the protection of Omusinga, the King. The woods bloom with bamboo, flowers, fungi, moss, and hanging vines covered in lichen. We come upon Enoch’s Falls which opens to a breathtaking view.
We reach Rabon Camp at 5100 meters above sea level, overlooking Enoch’s Falls and the lush forest beyond. As some traveler’s enter their rustic wooden huts for the night, others trade tales around a crackling campfire, surrounded by tranquil forest and the open night sky.

Day 3: Rwenzori Mountains

This day guest will have breakfast and We set off from Sine Camp for a steep climb through bamboo forests characterized by fruit and berry trees. The call of Crimson winged Rwenzori turaco bird rings through the crisp air. At 3,000 meters, the bamboo gives way to towering heather trees, some 15 meters high. Tucked away in the heather trees is Kalalama Camp, with a view of Lake George in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
We continue with the ascend until we turn and descend to a flat valley of lobelia plants. A short jaunt takes us to Kyra Villa where we again descend to enter Samalira Camp, which is cusped in a small dip carved from the landscape.

Overnight: Ruboni Community Camp
Ruboni Community Camp is situated at the gateway to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park. Accommodation at the camp offers guests the choice between a small cottage with furnished rooms and natural finishing or the possibility to hire or pitch a tent. Each bed is fitted with a mosquito net and rooms are lit with hydropower giving guests an opportunity to charge their gadgets. Activities at the camp are a village tour, hill climbing hike, forest hike, Rwenzori Trekking tours and traditional dancing.
Day 4: Rwenzori Mountains to Kibale Forest National Park 56.3 km
This day guest will have breakfast and begin the descent back through the serene bamboo forest, accompanied by bird calls and chimpanzees screeching in the distance. At Omusita Rest Area, we may continue a straight descent or divert to the scenic route, a trail following Nyamwamba River. All paths reunite at the park entrance and we continue from there back to Wild Tracks Overland Camp.

Day 5: Kibale Forest National to Airport (308.0 km)
This is the last day of tour, the mountains of the moon diminish in the rear-view mirror, but they loom large in our memories as we return to Kampala and on to Entebbe International Airport for our flight back home. A stop at the Equator presents an opportunity to grab a few souvenirs and gifts from the delectable craft markets.
